Every component is something to operate and secure. We favour the simplest architecture that meets the requirements.
Accessible by default
Software should work for everyone who needs it. Keyboard use, screen readers and contrast are requirements, not extras.
Documentation is a deliverable
If it is not written down, it is not finished. Every project ends with guides someone else can follow.

The name
Where landscape meets science.
The Bow River rises in the Canadian Rockies and runs through Calgary, our home. It begins as meltwater high in the mountains and gathers strength on its way to the city. Everything downstream depends on it, and it connects every place it touches.
In physics, bosons include the particles that carry nature's fundamental forces: the way one thing acts on another. Connection is where things happen.
Bowson Labs lives where those two ideas meet. We build software that connects information to decisions, ideas to working systems, and people to what they need to know. And like a laboratory, we test our ideas, measure the results and refine until the work holds up.

The mark is a letter B cut with mountain peaks above a river that flows toward you. It holds the same ideas as the name: the place we come from, the movement that connects, and a solid foundation to build on.
